Meeting with Durango Delegation: MexChamEU hosted a productive meeting with a delegation from Durango, led by Undersecretary of Health Luis Antonio Millán. Discussions focused on enhancing Durango’s presence in Europe and supporting its public health initiatives, fostering collaboration and strengthening ties with the EU for impactful health and economic outcomes.
Engagement with Trade Students at Chapingo: MexChamEU Secretary General César Guerra engaged with International Trade students from Universidad Autónoma de Chapingo. He highlighted the importance of the Mexico-EU trade agreement and MexChamEU’s role in fostering bilateral economic ties, inspiring students to leverage international trade for Mexico and the EU’s benefit.

On 16 October, MexChamEU President, Mr. Gokhan Kantarcigil, and Secretary General, Mr. César Guerra, met with Mrs. Uta Knott, Senior Manager at the BDI (Bundesverband der Deutschen Industrie e.V.), the voice of German industry. The meeting focused on finalizing the modernization of the Mexico-EU trade agreement, aimed at boosting trade and cooperation between these markets. Discussions centered around creating new business opportunities on both sides of the Atlantic through sustainable development and innovation.
PROISTMO Visits Mexican Chamber of Commerce in the E.U

PROISTMO, a prominent developer and promoter of the Interoceanic Corridor of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, visited the Mexican Chamber of Commerce in the European Union (MexChamEU). This visit aimed to strengthen bilateral trade relations and explore investment opportunities between Mexico and the EU.
The high-level delegation, led by Ms. Giselle Morán, engaged in discussions with Mr. Gokhan Kantarcigil, President of MexChamEU, and Mr. César Guerra, Secretary-General of MexChamEU. Key topics included the establishment of new industries along the corridor and strategies to enhance exports and cross-border investment.
MexChamEU continues to play a pivotal role in supporting Mexican businesses, like PROISTMO, in expanding into the European market through trade facilitation and investment promotion.
Collaborative Meeting Between MexChamEU and Casa de Mexico
MexChamEU, the Mexico-Spain Business Association, and Casa de Mexico met in Malaga and Andalucia to explore areas of mutual collaboration to enhance services to their members. Discussions emphasized both organizations' commitment to supporting the Mexico-EU Modernization Agreement. Additionally, Casa de Mexico invited MexChamEU to join the international initiative “Las empresas mueven al mundo” (Businesses move the world), with the first meeting planned for next year in Malaga or Marbella.
Launch of the Mexico-European Union Chamber of Commerce
Today marks a significant milestone in international trade relations with the inauguration of the Mexico-EU Chamber of Commerce (MexChamEU) in Brussels. This pioneering initiative aims to strengthen economic ties, foster business collaborations, and enhance trade relations between Mexico and the European Union.
The event, held at the Embassy of Mexico in Brussels, was attended by distinguished guests including government officials, business leaders, and diplomats from both Mexico and the EU. The ceremony featured keynote speeches, providing a platform for stakeholders to discuss opportunities and strategies for mutual growth.
